Welcome to Garrett College! Since 1967, we have maintained a strong reputation for academic excellence, a caring 和 dedicated faculty, academic support services, unique programs of study.
At Garrett College, you will find a variety of educational opportunities 和 an open enrollment policy that offers all students the chance to pursue higher education. Students come here to prepare to earn an 助理在 艺术s (A.A.), Associate of 艺术s 教学(A).A.T.), Associate of 科学 in 工程 (A.S.E.), as well as an 助理在 Applied 科学 (A.A.S.)学位; transfer to four-year 大学s 和 universities; earn industry-based certificates; experience h和s-on learning in professional 和 career training programs; develop basic skills, or to learn for personal enjoyment.
Located in the mountains of western Maryl和 overlooking Deep Creek Lake, Garrett College is known as an 负担得起的, public two-year 大学. Students have the opportunity to learn on our main campus in 麦克亨利 or at one of our other locations in Accident, 奖助金ville, or Oakl和.
Garrett College offers nearly 40 programs of study leading to certificates 和 associate degrees. Programs are offered in the areas of addictions counseling, 艺术, 生物学, 业务, 网络安全, 工程, 文科, 数学, natural resources 和 wildlife technology, outdoor leadership & adventure education, 科学, sport management, teacher education等等. The 大学 offers two residence halls on campus that allows our students to experience a rich social 和 extra-curricular life. Students have the opportunity to p艺术icipate in a variety of recreational sports in our four-season destination resort area, including skiing; boating; biking or hiking; rock climbing; or whitewater rafting. Students can p艺术icipate in leadership opportunities, student clubs 和 organizations, study abroad experiences while studying at Garrett College.
Garrett College fields NJCAA Division II 和 III athletic teams in 男人的 和 女性的 篮球, 男人的 baseball, 男人的 和 女性的 cross country, golf 和 女性的 softball 和 排球, 摔跤. Garrett is a member of Region XX 和 the Maryl和 Junior College Athletic Conference (MDJUCO).Our graduates who transfer to a four-year Maryl和 大学 or university regularly outperform their counterp艺术s from the state’s other fifteen community 大学s. Although we are the smallest, we believe we are one of the best! From our administration to faculty 和 staff, you will find that our people always are willing to go the extra mile in order for you to succeed.
